We had ordered a row of chairs and carpet after the customer had chosen them due to their design and articulating headrest feature. I have some rather good news to report. I found the power supply's and the tray tables. The power supplies were packaged in cardboard that I mistook for filler and placed in the recycling bin. Good thing trash day isn't until tomorrow. : ) The tray tables were in a box stuffed up inside the hollow part of the seat back. Funny story, I found them when I went to take one seat back off to get a better look at the wiring on the bottom in search of the power supply. It slid out and onto the floor.

I don’t usually take the time to write letters of appreciation, but I felt compelled to let you know how impressed I am with your customer service. In a time where most customer service departments are outsourced to foreign countries that do not care about the company and its customers, it is refreshing to actually talk to a customer service representative that works for the company you are calling. Yes, we can tell and it really makes a difference. Three years ago, I ordered four Berkline Theatre Recliners. I was very impressed with the person, Mary, that took my order. She was knowledgeable, efficient and adept at her job. I could tell she cared about her company, the product and the her customers. Last week, one of the handles from the recliner came off in my hand. I looked for the receipt in my file cabinet and could not find it. The last thing I wanted to do was to go into my attic and rummage through countless papers looking for it. I took a chance and called your company hoping someone at your customer service department could help me figure out what chair I ordered and if I could get a replacement part. I was surprised to hear a familiar voice helping me. It was Mary. She remembered me, the order and within minutes was able to locate the order, manufacturer and style number of the chair. Wow, that’s impressive! She transferred me to Nikki who completed the transaction with equal efficiency.

I understand enough about business to know that these attitudes usually reflect the attitudes from the top. Please don’t ever change. We need more companies like you. Being in Canada, our choices are really limited when it comes to HT Seating (unless you want to pay quite a bit more). Was in market for Power Seats for a newly built theater. US seemed attractive but wasn't sure of ordering something like this, the experience and then the warranty if needed. Since the AVS community was a huge help during my build (almost finished) of HT in answering hundreds of questions, I wanted to share my experience with AVS about Stargate (which I heard about here on the forums). Looked around at quite a bit of online vendors but the one that really stuck out was Ken Lerch from Stargate Cinema. Not only did Ken answer all my questions clearly (which was a challenge for few) but he was extremely knowledgeable about the product lines and understanding customer requirements. Up until the chairs were delivered to me, he kept in touch and made sure that there were no hassles or concerns during shipping and has been very prompt in communication (even after the sale); which was a big plus for me.

I have been researching popcorn machines for quite some time now and had been leaning towards getting a different brand 4 oz machine and cart. Problem is I live in Canada and finding such a thing was a bit of a challenge.
I found two places, one in Edmonton and one in Calgary that carried the machine and cart. My price would have been right around $1000 dollars for the 4oz popper and cart, including taxes but not including shipping.
So I did some googling and came across Stargate Cinema and read nothing but great things.
Anyways, long story short, I am now the proud owner of an 8oz Paragon Contempo with matching cart. I also purchased a case of Country Harvest ready mix packs and a stainless steel scoop. The good news, after converting everything into our Canadian Dollar, including Shipping, taxes and the brokerage fees, my grand total was only about $100 dollars more then what it would have cost me to buy the 4 oz machine locally. Keep in mind I got twice the size of a popper too... the 8oz!!
Everything was as smooth as silk on the transaction end of things. Stargate was lightning fast on the email responses, the shipping took about 7 business days and it arrived in perfect condition with no dents, scratches or anything broken.
I set the item up two nights ago and am still grinning from ear to ear every time I walk by it!
I just wanted to give a shout out to Stargate Cinema for the awesome deal, and excellent transaction all around. If there are any other Canucks out there looking for a popcorn machine, talk to Stargate, you can't go wrong.

The Home Theater blanket arrived today, and I immediately opened one to place in my office. It looks fabulous. I didn't remember the description stating that they are cotton, which is a definite plus in my estimation. The hunter green color is a perfect match; I draped the blanket over my small loveseat in my office and it looks fabulous. "I am a huge believer in conveying good or bad experiences with people I deal with. To this day there are places we do not shop because of how issues were handled many many years ago.

I had ordered the 6oz Contempo popper as well as a few other ancillary items and was impressed with the prompt shipment of all of the boxes. I ordered on last Friday and got the unit this past Wednesday. My excitement was curtailed when I opened up the box and heard what sounded like a bag of popcorn open and spread about. As I looked at the machine one of the side panels was completely shattered. I got on the phone to Ken immediately and as it was after hours, Ken indicated that he would get on it in the morning.

A few emails went back and forth, one included pictures I took of the unit. The next day, Thursday (as Ken promised) he was on the phone and got a new machine sent out to me with tracking number. I indicated that we had a party on Saturday and it would be most appreciated if he could get it to us on Saturday (yesterday). I was in between dives (scuba, that is why my theater is progressing at such a slow pace...but I digress) when my daughter calls and tells me that "there is a big box on the porch, it's too heavy to bring in so I'm leaving it outside". Couldn't help but smile that Ken kept his word. That impresses me the most in life, people who do what they say they are going to do.

Get back in town and can't wait to fire it up. I opened the box somewhat gingerly as I was expecting something to be wrong with it. To my surprise it was as I envisioned, a beautiful, new, and in one piece Contempo 6oz machine. Since it was only my dog and I at home, we both enjoyed an incredible batch of pocorn. Side note: Dobermans LOVE popcorn.

Fast forward to last nights party. Had a great time with wonderful friends and wonderful conversation. On the menu was a wide variety of sushi, wine,margarita's and ......popcorn!

Ken, thank you for keeping your word. I know it wasn't your fault on the broken unit. By getting me a replacement machine in such short notice has garnered you a loyal customer.
